I’ll be updating this area regularly, though don’t be too eager to check, it’s not that regular (go back to work ).

Q) How to make TagThis less ugly.
A) I’ve got the web design sense of… (can’t think of a metaphor) well, a developer (that wasn’t half bad). So tagThis is a little gray box. I’m writing a small guide to customize the design as per your site. It will be up soon. If you’re smart enough to figure out how it works, redesigns, and it looks better by default, write to me at anirudh -at- anirudhsanjeev -dawt- “o r g” and maybe it will make it’s way to the main release.

You want to see how tagthis works, tag the following content, and only the relevant ones might show up, so test1, test2, “hi mom” and so on might not.

I’m too lazy to write in stuff, so will just copy stuff from my feed reader, tag what you like, let’s see what’s popular.

An experimental plugin for the Compiz window manager allows users to tilt and rotate windows by holding down specified modifier keys and dragging the mouse. The plugin—which is called Freewins—was created by Rodolfo Granata (known to the Compiz community as Warlock) and is currently under development in the Compiz Fusion GIT repository.

Microsoft has made its newly-minted Visual Studio 2008 IDE (integrated development environment) widely available.

Through released to manufacture in November 2007, it was previously available only to Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) subscribers. As of yesterday, Visual Studio 2008 is now available via volume licensing and also for purchase as a full packaged product.

Visual Studio 2008 brings many new features to the table, such as multitargeting and Language-Integrated Query (LINQ). Multitargeting allows the newest version of Visual Studio to build code targeting older versions of the .NET Framework, while LINQ lets developers do native queries without the use of specialized languages.

Please use only Revision 14 and above, which is safe for production servers, and register all bugs as issues.

Seperate multiple tags with commas. All these tags, which are user supplied can be moderated with a seperate admin interface that looks like this:

With words like ‘web2.0′, spam, politics, etc.

you can blacklist ips and words
If you mark a tag as spam from admin panel, that word and the ip address is ignored. (of course, this can be changed to flag only the word/ip or none)
